Apart from the three celebs, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., Rosamund Pike, Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne are between actors who are in presence at the annual Festival.
This year's awards period pushed off by the Palm Springs Film Festival above the weekend. On Saturday, January 3, various Oscar hopefuls’ participants attended the gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Los-Angeles. “The Imitation Game” star including Allen Leech, Benedict Cumberbatch, Matthew Beard and Alex Lawther were attended along with director of the movie Morten Tyldum. Other celebs like as Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr, Rosamund Pike, Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne, David Oyelowo and Reese Witherspoon were also present there.
Pike won as an Actress award for her acting in "Gone Girl" that night and was established by her costars Kim Dickens and Carrie Coon. Pitt, for the meantime, showed up on stage to introduce “Oyelowo” who won as an Actor medal for his character like Martin Luther King Jr. in "Selma".
The festival continued with JK Simmons receiving the focus Award for "Whiplash". After that, Robert Downey Jr. introduced the Icon Award to Robert Duvall who is also included in cost of “The Judge”. Robert Duvall can perform anything and he's faraway from completed, the Iron Man depicter said, earlier than adding up, “This is normally where public stand up”, prompting viewers to provide a standing ovation.
After that, Steve Carell arrived on-stage and introduced the “Desert Palm Achievement Award” to Moore who revealed remarkable performance in Alzheimer's drama "Still Alice". Richard Linklater director "Boyhood" was won the Sonny Bono Visionary Award, introduced by Shirley MacLaine.
Afterward, Moore appeared on the stage yet again to introduce the “Desert Palm Achievement Award” to the newly married Redmayne for his presentation as Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything”. The Britain celeb thanked "my life partner and my wife. It's type of strange saying that but it's a fine weird.
Keaton was also one of the introducer that night, presenting "Birdman" helmer Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who took Director Award. Director Morten Tyldum after that introduced his “Imitation Game”" cast with Ensemble Award. Cumberbatch, who was with his fiancĂ©e “Sophie Hunter” in the festival, talked for the cast and joked that “Keira Knightley considered this takes place in Palm Beach" earlier than delivering his talking about playing war hero and gay icon Alan Turing.
The festival completed with Witherspoon taking the Chairman's Award for her character in "Wild", introduced by her colleague star Laura Dern. "I desire to be part of any gathering Reese Witherspoon is throwing," Dern joked.
